The Union of Students in Ireland

The Union of Students in Ireland
The Union of Students in Ireland is the representative body for over 374 000 third level students across the island of Ireland and is now in it’s 60th year. USI works with nearly 30 Students’ Unions to advance students’ rights and tackle burning issues through policy advocacy and collective action.
USI works on a number of issues such as student housing; well-being and mental health; sustainability initiatives, as well as student engagement. During the Education Expo, USI will provide information and advice to students and potential students on how to go about looking for accommodation and what their rights and obligations are as tenants.
Furthermore, they’ll provide information about ‘digs’ accommodation and their ‘digs’ specific website https://homes.usi.ie/ as well as hand out copies of their Accommodation and Finance Guide which has the A-Z information about looking for, being in and leaving accommodation. In addition, they’ll provide the 2018/19 Rent Guide for campus accommodation on major universities and colleges which is particularly helpful for second level students and their parents or family, international students and students coming from outside the cities where their educational institutions are located.
